Smudgie the Dog Needs a New Home (Sequim/PA/PT)

Smudge is a fixed two year old male, that needs a fenced yard. He loves to go after other dogs, cats, and deer. He does come back when called though!
He loves to chase the ball! He doesn't jump on people when he meets them it seems like, but for some funny reason when my dad holds his hands up to his shoulders, Smudge will jump up around him in a circle, it's pretty hilarious, but I worry he is going to knock down my 78 year old dad.
He has lots of love to give, but I have no idea how he is around children, but see no reason he wouldn't be good with them. The only "bad" behavior I have seen, is when my dad throws the ball in the street for him, he will go after other dogs walking by. (Yes, I have advised my dad not to do this)
He stays home alone fine, and uses his dog door to potty. I believe he is crate trained, but my dad hasn't been closing him in it. Will have to verify that. He rides in the car just fine.
I will be happy to bring him over to meet you!
Small rehoming fee can be negotiated; just want him to go to good home, so I promised my dad I would check out his new potential home first.
