This is a gorgeous instrument. I bought this new in 2006 and it’s never been out of the house and always handled with utmost care. This was the first of 3 series of this production that contained a limited 100 units per series, the other two series appearing in 2008 and 2018. I doubt you could find a more perfect guitar hanging on a music store wall. I planned on keeping this for as long as I lived, but a nerve injury to my right forearm has caused me to pretty much lose my finger picking abilities. Neck: Low-profile mahogany neck with gold side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with very unique abalone border gold pearl gingko leaves. Frets are in perfect condition with no wear. Gold mother of pearl headstock border & inlays. Antique gold finish enclosed tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" bone nut width; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Dreadnought body with rosewood binding & herringbone purfling. Gorgeous solid bearclaw spruce top with highly figured solid flamed mahogany back & sides. Scalloped top braces. Three "bowtie" insets along the center back seam & four small square insets in the body on either side of the neck heel. These unique insets are purely decorative & not structural. Ebony pyramid Stauffer bridge with ebony pins & bone saddle. Brown "leatherlam" pickguard made of leather fibers. 3-ring rosette with herringbone center ring. Full gloss finish with aging toner for the top. Inside label is signed by C.F. Martin IV & is numbered in sequence with the total. This is number 58 of only 100 made.
