Vintage mid-1960s Silvertone (most likely a Model 1417 made between 1964 to 1966) electric guitar in turquoise finish. What was once an original single pickup configuration, this guitar has had some alterations, such as additional pickup, bridge, pickup selector switch, knobs, and tremolo bar. With the modifications, it plays better than original!

Great twangy, surf rock sound and feel.

Built by the Kay Musical Instrument Company in Chicago for Sears, Roebuck & Co. This particular model was originally marketed as an affordable student guitar sold through the iconic Sears catalog. Today, it is a collectible and sought after by enthusiasts for its unique lo-fi vintage character and striking retro aesthetic.
