Type: Summer‑bearing red raspberry (floricane).
Canes: Upright, 4–6 ft, thornless when mature.
Fruit: Medium, bright red, sweet, aromatic; early‑summer ripening. Hardiness: Zones 4–8
Use: Fresh eating, preserves, freezing.
Light: Full sun preferred; tolerates partial shade.
Soil: Fertile, well‑drained; organic matter beneficial. pH: 5.0–7.5 (most sources), ideal 5.5–6.5.
Drainage: Poor tolerance for wet soils; avoid low spots.
Spacing In‑row: 18–24 in. Between rows: 4–10 ft.
Moderate moisture; maintain top 1 inch during active growth. Avoid saturation.
Fertilizer: Use non‑acidic fertilizers. Apply nitrogen in early spring when new growth reaches ~2 in; repeat 4 weeks later, banded along the row.
Pruning: Remove spent floricanes after fruiting. Retain 6–8 strong primocanes per linear foot for next year’s crop.
Pest & Disease: Generally strong resistance. Watch for raspberry beetle and botrytis; maintain airflow and sanitation.
