The color is flat black, see pics. When I shake the can, the paint sloshes around as if still good. I have not opened the can. Possibly the lid has been on in an air-tight seal for decades. There is no bar code on the can, which would make the can early 1970s? Bar codes were common starting about circa 1980? Notice the Yard Birds price sticker. Probably this can of paint was purchased at the Yard Birds store in Chehalis WA, or an affiliate store. You can read about the history of this store, started in Chehalis in 1947, on Wikipedia. As of 6/7/25 a vintage advertising pin on button is on ebay for this Chehalis store.
I don't guarantee the paint is still good/useable. I am in the Port Angeles city limits.
