DESCRIPTIONS-
THE 2 SMALLER SWAN BOWLS FOR $10 TOTAL-
I was going to list these on eBay but thought I would try a local quick sale first, maybe get less for them, but easier. Both the small bowls were made by the Duncan Miller Glass Co. 1940s-50s. Duncan & Miller made this swan bowl in several different sizes and colors (see eBay). The swan neck/heads were all hand made and applied at the factory, amazing. Both bowls have factory ground and polished flat bases, see pic. No chips or cracks, perfect, measure 4.5" wide, 7.5" long top rim measurements. Both colors are kind of rare/scarce in this bowl, and it is difficult to find this swan bowl locally anytime soon. $10 firm for both is a very good deal, you can come over and examine/pay, and I have clean packing paper/boxes here. Please ask any questions. PLEASE ALSO SEE MY PAIR NEW MARTINSVILLE 1940s-50s glass swan bowls if interested, same size about, beautiful, in a separate posting.
THE LARGEST SIZE MADE SWAN BOWL, CLEAR/COLORLESS, FOR $10 TOTAL-
This is the largest size made of the Duncan & Miller glass swan bowls, hard to find, made in the 1940s up to the early 1950s possibly, then none more were made ever again as I recall. The bowl top rim is 12" long, 8" middle widest diameter, 3" tall. The swan bowl height is 11" tall from the base to the swan head top. The base has a factory ground and polished flat base, always a nice finishing touch found on high end glassware, see close-up. This swan type bowl was made in several different color combinations, and in several different sizes. All these swan bowls have a hand-made and applied swan neck and head, all bowls are very high quality glass. I would like to sell this swan bowl for the low price of $10 locally rather than for a higher price on eBay where I have to ship it. Notice the swan glows yellow/green like vaseline glass in blacklight, see pics. Most US MADE clear/colorless glassware made pre-1960 has this interesting glow. Please ask any questions.
