St. Anthony, born in 1195 in Lisbon to a prominent family, became a priest and later a monk, noted for humility and kindness. So this simply carved but powerful statue reflects his life in a tangible way.

He preached in Padua, Italy, where he became well-known and admired. His feast day is June 13.

Statue is vintage and in very good condition, no damage, very clean.
