This model has Reynolds 531CS tubing, so it's a nice balance of lightness and stiffness for a larger rider. It has the very cool Tim Issac designed 'socket lugs' construction used only by Trek in the mid-late 1980s, making it a little piece of handmade-in-the-USA history. Paint is fair but has lots of little touchups; no dings or dents in tubing. Has original Shimano 600 running gear all around, but the shift levers and rear derailleur have been upgraded to the next generation Shimano 600 model, for indexed shifting. Six cogs on back, two chainrings for "twelve speed" shifting.
Handlebars have been replaced with anatomic bend bars, which a lot of people really like. Wheels are replacements I bought new in 2012. Tires are Schwalbe HS159 white walls with at least a couple years' life left on them. Saddle is new last year, and I have several other saddles you can try on it too; be happy to swap out for the one you prefer.
