I'm investigating opening a new small class art school - for various media in mid 2020 in PA. Focus on project seminar classes and skill building with 3-6 student per group with class length determined by project need. Currently securing a great central location.
If you are a formally trained or a long term, professional self taught artist, designer, fabricator, engineer, architect, or craft professional with a set of hands-on skills and a personable / professional teaching demeanor, please contact me with contact information, Instagram link, resumé and a couple of images of your work and a description of your process. Share your thoughts on an ideal class / seminar that you would like to teach. Must be able to pass a background check. This is an art school concept that transcends the traditional drawing and painting environment into dreaming and making. Student ages could range from middle school with parent participation to retired seniors with vacation travelers in two day classes. The potential for mentoring of students in independent work projects in longer term horizons is encouraged.
Skills being considered are not limited to:
Drawing and technical drawing / drafting. Pen and ink, colored pencils, graphite, charcoal. Realistic, perspective, abstract, portraiture, landscape, industrial and steampunk / anime / hand animation.
Painting - watercolor, acrylic, oils, encaustic
