(REGARDING LOCAL DELIVERY AND SHIPPING - You can pick up the chair here at my house. I can deliver the chair myself for $60 to the Tacoma-Seattle-Everett I-5 corridor area, and deliver to my immediate area as far as Sequim for free, $20 delivery fee to Port Townsend area. I am willing to ship the chair anywhere in the country if you pay the packing, shipping and insurance fees; I don’t pack furniture, sorry. You tell me how you want it shipped, I can use Fedex (do they ship furniture?), UPS, or other available near me. Shipping furniture can be very expensive.)
I will not take less than $100. I found no other chair just like it on ebay, nor have I ever found locally another chair like it in 25 years of always looking at thrift stores, garage/estate sales. The chair was made by the William T. Wallace Manufacturing Company (see close-up of tag), the model is “Hollywood” (see close-up). A fitting model name, as the elegant design/style of steel with chrome finish legs is glamorous, sleek, very eye pleasing. I could not find another same chair in my internet search, nothing, and found no information on this company.
The chair looks 1940s to me, but I am not an expert; the tag on the seat bottom, see close-up, use the zoom in feature- states the chair complies with three different 1920s statutes. The newest this chair could be is 1950s, but I am guessing older. I have had this chair for many years, it is in excellent condition, I have never used it myself.
The chair is in excellent very clean condition, no missing parts, all mechanical functions working perfectly- backrest adjusts up, down, in, out, the seat can be lowered about 4”. The tallest the chair can be to top of the backrest is 34”, the seat is 18” wide, 16” deep. The backrest and seat cushion have no stains or tears, see pics. The chrome finish on the steel legs is uniformly strong, the wheels are in excellent condition and swivel perfectly. Only the seat bottom/underside has permanent but clean water staining and some edge wear, see pic of seat underside. Please ask any questions.
