SILK SCREEN ART ROMANCE 1920s - $19

condition: good
size / dimensions: 14x11
VINTAGE SILK SCREEN ‘ROMANCE’ BY GREG TAYLOR 1972, FRAMED, UNDER GLASS, numbered 6/20

This art piece was created using an antique real photograph postcard from the early 1920s.

11” x 14”

About the Artist:
Greg Taylor graduated with a Master’s Degree in Fine Art Photography from the prestigious Visual Studies Workshop, University of New York at Buffalo in 1978. There Greg completed his Master’s Thesis on “Hand Photogravure”.

Although not an example of his photogravure work, Greg's silver gelatin print of an antique photo postcard (c 1915) held up against a horse in a vast snow-covered field is included in the permanent collection of the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, New York (titled “Snowscape with hand holding postcard). The image is one in his series of “Hand Outs” which he conceived, photographed, and printed. In the 1970s, an image within an image was considered an innovative technique in Art Photography.

Condition: No remarkable issues. I have provided images of the front and back of the print without the frame.
