Own a working piece of art. This handmade kayak is built with full length strips from one old growth fir tree sheathed in 6oz/yd glass cloth and epoxy resin, no plywood here. It is the Guillemot "Razor Billed Auk" design. (Thank you, Neal.) The framework was set up with a laser so it is absolutely straight and true. There is a red pinstripe along the top as the only decoration needed. 19 feet long and 20 inches wide makes her very fast. The cockpit is 16 inches by 29 inches making getting in and out easy. There are two compartments in the back and one up front held in with bungees on the underside so there’s nothing to disrupt the beautiful lines. Always kept in the garage except when she’s out on the water. Included is the wooden paddle, made by the same craftsman. The handle of the paddle has been hollowed out to keep the weight down, making it almost as light as a carbon fiber paddle. The paddle and kayak are a quick and quiet combination which are truly a joy to paddle. $2500
